シンポジウムでは，司会の投野先生から「６つの質問」が示され，各自がそれぞれの立場で回答を行いました。
コーパス言語学の未来を考える6つの質問
1) Are there any new types of corpora in the future? What kind of corpora would you like to create?
2) Any innovations in collecting, annotating, and analysing texts?
3) What are some of the new types of applications of corpora?
4) Can the term "corpus linguistics" still survive?
5) How can linguists or language practitioners benefit from future corpora?
6) Any other innovations or methodological breakthrough?
石川のとりあえずの回答
1) ICNALEの拡張と，新発想の日本語コーパス
2) 自動書き起こしはすでに実用化されているがその精度が高まり発話コーパス構築の垣根が下がる
3) 身近なところでは学校現場でのIR（教学分析）など
4) 意味を変えつつ現存する
5) コーパスは言語を見る「態度」を教えてくれるものでその基本的価値は（たとえばAI等で言語処理ができるようになったとしても）変わらない
6) 技術面・手法面よりはむしろ「テキスト回帰」の中でbreatthroughを探りたい
といったところです。
